Diljott, an actress of Indian descent is winning hearts globally. Despite being an excellent student who always aced her academics, she was passionate about acting and wanted to pursue it professionally.
Her hard work and dedication has bought her to this pedestrian where she has acted in several hit projects with Diljit Dosanjh, Satinder Sartaaj, Gippy Grewal, Gurnam Bhullar, Happy Raikoti, Roshan Prince, Sajjan Adeeb and Jordan Sandhu.
The foot tapping number and sizzling chemistry of Diljit Dosanjh and Diljott in song ‘Patiala Peg’ is still evergreen and her recent film ‘Rang Ratta’ which released opposite Roshan Prince garnered her huge appreciation. After her super hit project ‘Patiala Peg’, this duo – Diljit and Diljott – is seen in a recently released commercial project which is being admired all over. Her upcoming Hindi film titled ‘Krispey Rishtey’ as a lead actress shall release soon. The Bollywood film has melodious songs by Shreya Ghosal, Jubin Nautiyal, Richa Sharma, Mohit Chauhan, Pappon.
Diljott has been recently honoured as Shaan Punjab Di (Achievers Awards 2023) by Hon’ble Governor Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh.
She is the founder of Dream Buds Foundation, and philanthropic journey has supported innumerable underprivileged lives. This foundation is a Registered Trust with the government of India, and is functioning to encourage and support the underprivileged who have been unable to realize and fulfill their dreams and potentials because of lack of resources, environment, support, guidance, impoverished conditions or circumstances by providing them with opportunities, resources, awareness and guidance to fulfill and nurture their dreams and add a meaning to their lives. The tagline of the Foundation is ‘Every one can Dream’ irrespective of where they are born, where they come from, whosoever they are, of whichever age or gender they are, even the underprivileged have a full right to dream and pursue their passions.
A documentary film ‘Dreams’ based on the philanthropic journey of the Foundation and its work has also been screened at an International Film Festival in Canada and USA.
On the academic front, Diljott has studied Public Policy from Harvard University, USA. She has also studied International Development from University of British Columbia, Canada. She earned her Master’s degree in Human Rights and Duties from Panjab University, Chandigarh and topped the university during her masters degree.
Diljott is also a University Gold medalist for standing first in the university during her graduation, Bachelor of Arts (Majors in Psychology), Panjab University, Chandigarh. Being a University Gold Medalist twice, she also completed a postgraduate course in NGO Management from Amity University and has completed a Project Cycle Management Course from NGO Management School at Geneva, Switzerland.
Diljott also presided as a Tedx speaker at IIT Allahabad where her speech at the Ted event was hugely appreciated.
